Bio

Contemporary artist inspired by nature

As a nature-lover, my paintings are a starting point for a conversation with the viewer about the natural world, and those that inhabit it. I focus on realistic portrayals of landscapes, animals and people, moving into nature-inspired soothing abstracts based on Australian flora. By blending colours, fine details and expressive techniques, each of my paintings portrays the inner emotions and personalities of my subjects and give depth to my work. I'd love to chat about what my work might mean to you.

Modern nature artist with an eco focus

Our Australian flora and fauna is so precious and unique, and I'm inspired by it everyday. Often, I just pack up my paints, easle and canvas and set down amongst the trees to paint, inspired by the sounds of the bushland around me. I use eco-friendly, sustainable products in my practice as much as possible which means each artwork you're buying from me has minimal environmental footprint. As much as I am inspired by nature, I don't want my work to be the only way to experience its wonder! As well as our environment, I'm also passionate about the protection of animals and have donated work for auction in fundraising drives for these good organisations:

  • SEQ K9 Rescue Inc
  • Orangutan Project, as well as
  • the Cancer Council Relay For Life 2017 fundraiser.

Where you can find me

As an Australian artist, I live south of Brisbane and paint out of my suburban home studio. My work has been exhibited in and around Brisbane, in Logan and surrounds. I occasionally run Paint 'n' Sip Parties and can take bookings for up to 8 people.
